Hi Suresh,

The data has to be formatted in order for Xcelsius to read it. Unfortunately at this time Xcelsuis doesn't provide the ability to hook right to SQL/ODBC connection. If you are set up using LiveOffice you can go that route.

I personally chose the XML route because you can format the data in XML pretty easily and you are able to have multiple XML connections.

I've tried the Centigon csv option but ended up not using it because it kept crashing on me, I've found that most of the tools can't handle large amounts of data even if it's aggregated first.

Hope that helps. Please feel free to contact me if you need help.

Thanks,
Jay

Hi Jay,
I am new to Xcelsius, but am finding it very interesting. My only issue is formatting the existing data to work for this. Do you have any suggestion or help for me on this. Can we use any other data like sql or any on this?
Suresh - Dubai

Hi Andre,

You could use the filtered rows option with dropdowns, slideshow buttons or label buttons. Let me know if you need any help. I am available for consulting work if needed.

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to display 2 distinct scenarios in xcelsius. I do have the dataset for the 2 scenarios in a table and would have the user choose between these 2 sets. Any suggestions?

I have the data pre-aggregated before it comes into Xcelsius now. I still have Xcelsius do the summing for rollups but that's it.
